The most famous nose in the beanie hobby! The Light Brown Nose Emblem MC Beanie Bear! This bear is one of the “brown nose” varieties. The coloring of its nose is a light honey brown – much more noticeable compared to his dark brown nose emblem counterpart. Ty made and distributed only 6 examples of this bear, making it without question one of the rarest beanies in the hobby.
At the time of this post, we know where two of the six examples of this bear are – including the signed example by Ty (the signature is likely what brough the piece to attention in the first place)! Pictures below will help clearly show the different shade between the light brown nose emblem variety, the dark brown emblem nose variety, and the common black emblem nose variety. The other four could still surface, or might be buried in old collections graded as just a “brown nose” MC beanie bear. One of the two known examples was the most prized bear of Kevin Band – the largest reseller for many years in the UK. He treasured the bear above all other production and prototypes he had. It was the only example he had come across despite having had hundreds of thousands of beanies move through his hands.
Rarity Tier: GHOST RARE
With only 6 examples made (confirmed by Ty), this piece is one of the rarest Ghost Rare tier pieces. Like his dark brown nose emblem counterpart, not all 6 of the light brown nose emblem examples have surfaced/survived. We know of 2 confirmed examples, and would guess 1-2 more examples are buried in older collections and may surface with time. A larger percentage of this piece likely made it into collectors’ hands given the ease with which this piece can be spotted from afar (unlike the dark brown nose emblem example, which is easily missed). Another piece even the most advanced collectors only ever dream about. If one does pop up, do what needs to be done to secure it if you want one of these for your collection. Note – this bear in earlier years was simply graded as “brown nose”
