We just reviewed the sister prototype to this insane wingless Quackers prototype. All of the previous comments apply to this piece as well. Original 1992 prototype for one of the most coveted original 1st generation styles in the entire hobby. Now, the true kicker on this piece, is its fabric. 99.9% of the color variations we see for original prototypes used one of Ty’s base fabrics, that we eventually see used on one piece or another. This shade of green fabric we never saw on any of the original pieces. We’ll call it a Spring Green – though we’re sure there is a more fitting shade to call it. The piece actually reminds us a bit of the mint green counterfeit quackers that floated around for years. Funny to think Ty was actually considering doing the piece originally in a form of green.. See photos below. This green fabric is very distinct from the “Legs” green fabric we have seen and come to know. What an incredible color! Totally unique.
Rarity Rank: -1. This piece receives one of the ultra elusive and coveted “-1” ranks. This guy is WILD. A genuine 1st generation wingless quackers prototype is beyond bonkers. One in a full alternate, UNUSED, vibrant color…it not only gets no better than this, but the piece stops any beanie collector in their tracks. This is one of those pieces that will push collectors to “do whatever it takes” to secure. Truly one of the finest pieces in the hobby.
