Tyriffic Store Prototypes typically garnered a fair bit of press. Many of the prominent publications in the late 90’s/early 2000’s wrote articles about prototypes, and were granted access to pieces that had been or were currently on display at one of Ty’s special Tyriffic stores. Two famous bumble prototypes did in fact survive, and they are here for your viewing pleasure! One with cream wings (slanted in, akin to a fly), and another with white wings – more similar to eventual bumble production. Also attached are images from the publication these pieces were featured in. All tags were removed, as is typical for Tyriffic display pieces.
Rarity Rank: 1.75-2.25. These aren’t the most insane variations for Bumble, but both pieces are certainly striking. It is also so tough to locate one of the more famous Tyriffic Store pieces with actual photographic or periodical proof of its provenance. And this is one of the older, rarer styles in the Ty line. That bumps up the cool factor on these bad boys.
