An original Chilly the polar bear in LIGHT BLUE! This is a full color departure for one of the most coveted 1st generation styles! There are so many incredible tidbits to this piece. First, 1992 pax tags – puts this in the earliest wave for this style. Next, the piece is completely light blue – the same fabric as the light blue peanut. The piece is complete with pax tush tag and pax hang tag, but if you look closely, the hang tag has a note scribbled by Ty denoting the piece’s eventual name “Chilly”!!
Rarity Rank: -.5. This piece is a full departure of an iconic/rare 1st generation piece, and comes complete with early dated 1992 pax tags. The notes from Ty also push this piece into really special territory. Again, a piece like this would typically be an easy “rank 0” piece, but something about it pushes it ahead of other top pieces. A piece such as this would garner universal praise among the collecting community if it ever hit the public market. This piece was sidelined by a ty employee who had a number of incredible gems!
