ROYAL BLUE colored teddies! This is the exact shade Ty used for the famous royal blue peanut! How completely awesome that he was considering using that fabric for these original teddies. See below for a fun collage of most of the colored teddy sets that survived that have been documented over the years. This area is still a work in progress – there are some noticeably absent color shades (quackers yellow, happy gray, etc). Now we move on to the colors Ty actually ended up using…
Rarity Rank: 0. All four of these pieces are easy rank 0 pieces. Full departures for original 1st and 2nd generation styles. There is an argument that these could be kicked up to a higher rarity class given they are full color alternates for the original teddy bears of the beanie collection, which are among the most collected and coveted even today. The old face bears will all have 1992 pax hang tag dates, and the new face bears will have 1993 pax dates – so their age and notoriety are beyond reproach. An entire assembled set adds an additional WOW factor, on top of everything.
