This set also came out of a very old collection – the finest in the land for many years, until its owner passed away, and the set was dismantled in 2013. Ty created a set of six old face teddies in production colors with alternated noses (cream) + neck ribbons! These prototypes are complete with pax hang and tush tags, plus alternate colored thread (violet pictured below with pink stitching) that match the color of their ribbon. The pax dates on these are all around 5/93 – this puts them just about a year before these old face teddies were released to market (6.25.94). Full alternate colored OF teddy pax dates are all from 11/92 (older for solid white + patch). Given that these have pax dates closer to the release date, it makes sense the departures from eventual production are more minimal/closer to final production.
