Ahh! Here is the famous red and cream prototype Peanut! This piece is a beautiful solid red with amazing white inner ears. Full pax tags, and 1994 pax date, placing this piece as still a half year ahead of the release of the original royal blue peanut. We often see a prototype teenie ty peanut in red:). Also picture below. It appears Ty really seriously considered this piece as the one to release. This piece is viewed as a bit of a counterpart to the black widow peanut prototype, reviewed a few weeks ago.
Rarity Rank: 0/-.5. We have an insane, full departure original peanut prototype. All pax tags – famous, striking, vivid. Given the style and notoriety of this piece, a strong rank 0 piece. Argument for a -.5 status too. It doesn’t have any royal blue directly on it, which would push this piece higher, but this is another piece that has had many collectors thrown down everything to secure it. Another style that has this ethereal pull about it.
