Here we have a 1992 true original prototype for WEB the spider in SOLID red. This is a sibling for the solid ORANGE Web example that has survived. The production Web ended up with a red belly – so it doesn’t surprise us (returning to our theory about Ty’s love for symmetry) that he played with an example constructed entirely from red. We wonder if there’s a solid red web prototype out there with black belly…

This Web receives a solid “0” rank zero given it is a full color departure for a coveted original 1st generation piece. This could be nudged to -.5 territory. Incredible that the pair of full color departure Web prototypes have survived. This particular Red Web was surfaced from a very seasoned Ty Employee who only kept a few of the very best prototypes. Insanity piece.
