Our previous post outlined the famous Beanie Mania set of green dinos, lizzy, yellow flutter, and violet coral. Little known fact, Ty made a second set of these pieces and gifted them to Bill Harlow – head of Ty Canada. But the set came without the green Bronty! We had wondered where that piece may have ended up, and if you look closely at old Tyriffic Store pictures, we believe we can see that guy on the top shelf next to a white Britannia (and next to a light blue prototype Bronty). We can also see him pictured more clearly in a lower Tyriffic Store photo. We see the green lizzy with patch in there. It is probable these photos were taken before Ty gifted the set to Bill. We wonder where that Bronty is hiding. It means the green example from Beanie Mania is the sole survivor.
Rarity Rank: 1.25-1.75. These guys drop just a slight notch compared to their near-identical counterparts that have a bit more fame and notoriety behind them. But these guys have been featured in magazines too. Notes on rarity carry over to this set from the Beanie Mania set “We are going to apply this rarity rank almost universally to this set.
