Peanut the Elephant Royal Blue and Light Blue in SOLID LIGHT PINK prototypes

These prototype peanuts are absolutely INCREDIBLE! Let’s break them down. First, they are complete with pax hang and tush tags with the earliest January 1994 pax dates for the Peanut style. Next, they are FULLY alternate colors – a squealer light pink. But each has the light blue and royal blue fabric in their ears that we saw these pieces eventually produced in. So wild a set like this was made, and SURVIVED (as a set). This also proves Ty intentionally had the royal blue (and light blue) fabric on his mind when he originally conceived Peanut. In many of the earlier beanie books and magazines, it was alleged the royal blue peanut fabric was a mistake. It is clear that Ty very intentionally released Peanut in royal blue, with light blue in the picture from the jump. We wonder if Ty ever considered introducing light blue peanut first, or perhaps not switching from the royal blue to the light blue fabric.

Rarity Rank: -1. (0 for light blue). The power and statue of this set cannot be denied. Anybody who knows anything about beanies will instantly see these as true departures for the original Peanut the elephant. The light blue and royal blue fabric for each piece represents such an incredible cornerstone of the hobby. True “royal blue” prototypes, with the royal blue fabric present, are the truest prizes. Here we have a set outlining the full circle of this incredible piece. Light blue receives a “0” only because, technically, it is a full departure prototype for the light blue peanut (3rd gen) – but the set together is elevating.
