Inch the worm was always one of this author’s favorite production beanies. The original production Inch was issued, first in 3rd generation, with felt antenna in June of 1995 (mid 1995 release) with entirely different color segments (see below). Production fabric colors include quackers yellow, goldie orange, legs green, royal blue peanut blue, and magenta fuchsia. This particular prototype is a COMPLETE departure and has “pastel” colored fabrics – light blue peanut head, hoppity pink, pastel yellow, happy lavender, and hippity mint green. Full pax hang tag and tush tag with 1994 pax dates.
Rarity Rank: 1.5/1.75. Finding wild variations (full departures!) for vintage pieces is always the greatest prize in prototype land. This is an insane variation for an old style, that isn’t the most coveted style (or oldest). Inch is absolutely one of the most popular styles, but, falls as a less rare 3rd generation style. Though, the felt antennae version in MQ MWMT condition is still about a $100 piece.
