Are you on the Nana train yet?:). This spectacular Nana prototype is has a solid chocolate brown body, a slightly lighter chocolate face, and yellow/pastel yellow ears, hands, feet, and tail! The piece is also complete with pax tush tag. This Nana you may have noticed is missing its hang tag – typically only seen with “Tyriffic Nana” prototypes. But this is in fact the famous Ty Canada Nana – one of the precious few prototypes that ended up with Bill Harlow. The piece was featured in several beanie publications (see photos below). This is the only Nana prototype to be discovered with chocolate brown fabric. Very striking!
Rarity Rank: -.5. A wild and vivid departure from the production Nana. And the very famous Ty Canada example. The fact that this piece survived and was extracted. We believe this piece was moved by Bill with other Ty Canada gems when the Ty Canada Warehouse was closed and many rare gems were came to light (A set of the Ty Canada Employee teddies, rare embroiders, Bill’s green Dino trio set, and the Ty Canada prototype Nana!).
