This is an exquisite 1st generation prototype for Speedy the turtle. This piece has a solid brown shell with fabric patch – patch containing the fabric speedy sports in production. We have seen several early prototypes with patches over a solid fabric encompassing their eventual fabric. So seeing this guy, complete with 1992 pax tags and tush, is a treat.
Rarity Rank: 1. While speedy is not the most popular 1st generation style, he is actually one of the more challenging to find with a MQ 1st generation hang tag. There are 2-3 other Speedy prototypes that are stronger departures, but none with pax tags/older pax tags. So this piece is a particular highlight.
