This is an original 9 prototype for the original Spot no spot the dog. He has chocolate brown Cubbie/Brownie shaded fabric for his ears, eye patch, and tail! This piece is complete with pax tags, and has an extremely early June 1992 pax date – there are very few prototypes with dates this early. This Spot is magnificent and has a parallel twin in red part of the Original 9 “Faith” set. In fact, this additional parallel original 9 set, we will call the “Design” set. We will outline that entire set in a single post, next. But this piece was separated from that original set, but eventually was reunited!

But below, please take a look at the piece re-seated with the rest of the Design original 9 set. You can more easily see the strong and stunning color departure of this piece.
