Continuing on with Ty’s prized Tyriffic favorites, we have an INSANE set of fully alternate PRINCESS beanies. These are full departures in white, and have alternate color ribbons and chest roses – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. August 97 pax dates means these were made right before Princess’s release in October 1997. Ty must have solidified the color of Princess at this point, given the lead time needed to have the production bear ready for shipments just two months after this. It means Ty likely created these as a specialty set intended to display. Interestingly enough, we are unsure if these pieces actually did make it to a store for display. They are the only set with pax tags. Ty did have a prototype example prominently in the main Chicago store with production fabric – pictured below next to the Tyriffic white Erin, and Tyriffic white Britannia!
Rarity Rank: 0 – 1. Strange things always happen around Princess. This set – full departure, all pax tags, Tyriffic designated, show-stopping, mouth-dropping pieces when you see them. At the moment, the set is divided between two collectors.
