Here we have it! The final 30th anniversary piece (and the 30th style!) to be released with a special limited 30th edition hang tag. Molasses the sloth was chosen! This is technically set 10 of the 30th pieces to be released, but is a style from series 8 UK. Molasses was originally released in the UK March of 2024. But the 30th anniversary limited edition with rare tag was announced/released via Ty UK and Ty German socials on 2/2/2025. It is confirmed that Molasses will be the final 30th piece to come with this limited hang tag. Also confirmed, that the other two beanies from series 8, Foster the red monkey and Stanley the seal, do NOT come with the rare 30th anniversary hang tag. So to confirm again, the only piece from series 8 UK release that has one of the rare 30th hang tag pieces, is Molasses. He is, again, also officially confirmed to be the 30th and final piece to sport one of the limited edition 30th anniversary hang tags, and the 30th piece to complete this very special limited commemorative set from the new series 2 beanies. Molasses is said to have been the selected style to round out the 30th set because Sloths are slow, and this final 30th piece took some time to be announced, given his original release was 3/18/24 in the UK.
Rarity Tier: Elite Rare
All existing rarity notes apply. Like set 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 and 4, this set (set 10, series 8) was given out entirely via social media contests. No retail distribution, or company awards on these guys. This group has only one piece, Molasses! Assembling a full set of the 30 styles of this rare set may never happen. But how exciting to try. Securing even one of these 30 styles with their limited hang tag is a feat in itself! Only the most ardent collectors will take on the challenge of hunting these down and working towards set assembly.
