Set 8 (series 9!) for the rare tagged 30th anniversary pieces. Interestingly, Ty did not, as of August 2024, release his series 8 UK 30th anniversary pieces (Foster the monkey, Molasses the sloth, and Stanley the seal) with the rare 30th anniversary hang tag. Series 9 – Emmett, Fraya, and Domino, were instead released (set 8 with the special 30th hang tags). We suspect this is the case because the series 8 pieces departed the “II” naming scheme – and fell into a few other releases that were classified not as part of the new 30th series. Foster, Molasses, and Stanley, we can confirm were given a similar treatment – same limited shipment and quantities, but also departed from having a “II” name. This paved the way for 2.0 30th beanies of original styles, but with new names.
Rarity Tier: Elite Rare
All existing rarity notes apply. Like series 7, 6, 5 and 4, this set (set 8, series 9) was given out entirely via social media contests. No retail distribution, or company awards on these guys. In this group, Fraya and Domino have been seen. But Emmett has remained elusive! Pictures soon, we hope.
