These are very fun prototypes for Bronty, Steg, Rex, and tie-dyed Lizzy. All are complete with pax tags, and have WHITE bellies/undersides. Early pax dates from January 1994 ahead of their June 1995 release. This would mean that Ty had these particular designs pretty ironed out, or at least had these as strong options, 18 months before retail release.
Rarity Rank: 1.75. These are minor (but neat!) departures for very popular/rare tie-dyed 3rd generation pieces – Steg, Bronty, Rex, and tie-dyed Lizzy are among the most collected pieces in the hobby, and typically rank highly for collectors. Additionally, they also showcase a type of prototype departure that is actually very well documented. Ty often had prototypes at near production ready levels in catalogs/flyers before those pieces were actually released to retail. Departures were often minor – a shade different for their belly, or a different patterned fabric for a small area of the piece. See the 1995 mid-year intro flyer – we see a tie-dyed Lizzy with white belly, a Sting with white belly, and some other goodies (red nana!, Stripes solid orange body, etc.).
