These are very special prototypes. Princess, in general, is a style that captured the hearts of millions when it first debuted in 1997 after Diana’s passing. We have seen that a number of Ty’s most prominent prototypes had a ‘patch’ of some kind – showcasing the piece’s eventual production fabric, or a specific emblem. This exquisite prototype princess bear set has two pieces. The first is solid white, with gold ribbon and gold velboa nose. She also has a patch on her chest with the rose we know so well, in GOLD!, against the production purple fabric.
The counterpart for this prototype is the bear with the patch fabric implemented – solid purple princess with gold rose and gold ribbon!
Rarity Rank: 0 – 1. As stated before, strange things always happen around Princess. This is such a stunning prototype set. The white example surfaced first from a Ty Executive. It is complete with 1997 dated pax tags, AND is hand signed by Ty! The solid purple example is also complete with pax tags and signed by Ty – incredible set!
