Even 30 years after the beanie line’s release, rare pieces are still surfacing. This is the beauty with almost every one of Ty’s different plush lines – the sheer number of variations discovered, and variations conjectured to exist that still have yet to surface – keep the hunt going all these years later. There is only one #1 Billionaire #8 bear. To rehash from other #1’s in a series – this is another one of those priceless pieces. Another piece that falls into the camp of “a collector will do whatever it takes to secure” if the opportunity ever arises. There is a fervor around the #1’s in a series – always originally rumored to be owned and kept by Mr. Warner himself. Almost every example to surface and exit into the collecting community came with fierce litigation from Ty’s end. To date, this is only the 3rd or 4th #1 Billionaire bear to surface.
