This is the 3rd and final known set of prototypes for the violet employee teddies. The other two have been reviewed previously, with links to those pages below (red and green set, and chest logo embroidered set). With those, you can read more about the history of the production violet employee teddies, and our theories around their distribution/eventual design ( lack of departure) for the pieces distributed to Ty employees. We LOVE this set. We have the violet employee teddies in their production colors and eventual red and green ribbons, complete with all pax tags, August 1997 dates (ahead of their release on 9/13/97), and PADDED feet in the color of their respective ribbon departure (green/red). These distinctions would have definitely made these bears stand out visually much more. As they are (production examples), they often go unnoticed – mistaken for their regular production counterparts.
